The MAC Handy Carriage I-D is a high-performance, portable, automatic welding carriage used for welding long horizontal fillet welds. The Handy Carriage requires no track or guide rails, instead a powerful magnet along with four wheel drive and two guide rolls in contact with the work-piece which provides excellent traction and tracking. Less Operator Fatigue and Greater Safety: In manual welding the welders are usually in the uncomfortable position of kneeling or bending and tire very quickly. Manual welding also subjects the welder to a much harsher environment because of the welders close proximity to the welding area which is full of smoke, heat, arc rays and hot spatter. The handy carriage allows the operator to be in a comfortable and safe position away from the harsh conditions of the welding area. In most situations one operator can operate several units at the same time thus increasing productivity even further.
